This site had a three bedroom bungalow occupying the area originally and it was considered not to be a good use of the land and therefore planning permission was obtained for two four/five bedroom detached houses.
It was important that the two detached houses were sympathetically designed to blend in with the street scene.
A traditional construction method was adopted and included concrete floors for the three floors and using high quality insulation materials to ensure a low level of sound transmission was achieved. Timber framed windows were adopted using a high quality paint specification which was applied at the factory so that the windows came to site, pre-finished. Underfloor heating was adopted throughout. An air test was completed by the NHBC to ensure that the building was efficient and within current limits.
